Just got back from work this morning. The Post Office is running smoothly. The rain is streaming lightly and I will spend the day preparing my resume. I am applying for a new position. This is one I have prepared for over the last five years. We will see if I am successful.
With taxes and health care costs rising, it looks like I will be working for a few more years. Besides, what else is there to do? I enjoy the work and I still have another wedding to plan for and two more college educations to assist with.
The rain will green the lawn and feed the garden. The tomatoes are coming in nicely. Obama wants us to go green, so I thought I would start a garden in his honor. So far only the tomatoes are growing. I will have a garden full of red. Does that make the garden a red state?
Will need to get something out of the freezer for tomorrow's BBQ. Hot and humid is the forecast. I think I'll try a cool dessert to go with whatever I prepare.
